JR Central, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Sagamihara City will hold the "Sagamihara Linear Festa 2026" on October 24–25 at the Chuo Shinkansen Kanagawa Prefecture Station (provisional) construction site, offering the first public access to the track level on the third basement floor (B3).
Event highlights: Visitors can tour the main line and platform areas where the maglev will run, with full-scale photo panels and video projections exclusive to the site. A special stage on B2 will feature artist music lives, while ground-level stages showcase local performances, including a shō (Japanese reed instrument) and ikebana live performance at the October 24 opening ceremony. Municipal and local business exhibition booths and food trucks round out the program.

Registration details:
Entry ticket: Free, via JR Central's "TOKAI STATION POINT (Tosupo)" app; accepted from September 28, 15:00 until 16:30 on event day
Track level tour ticket: Separate application required; deadline October 13 (Tue) 23:59; lottery if oversubscribed, winners notified via app by around October 20; tours last approximately 30 minutes

Access and safety: The venue is a 3-minute walk from Hashimoto Station (JR East and Keio lines) in Sagamihara's Midori Ward. Both days run 10:00–17:00 (last entry 16:30). No parking available—public transport required. Sneakers mandatory (no sandals or heels); access to underground levels is via stairs only, so wheelchairs and strollers cannot enter these areas.
